The Heart of Heavy Industry Since 1896
For more than 125 years, Rhoads has been more than just a business—we’re a family committed to craftsmanship, innovation, and integrity. Founded in 1896 by Samuel Rhoads, the company remains family-owned, guided by the same principle that shaped its beginnings: doing what’s right. Today, we’re proud to support some of the country’s most mission-critical work, contributing to the future of national defense.
Our facilities at the revitalized and historic Philadelphia Navy Yard—an iconic hub of American innovation—are a testament to our commitment to quality and purpose. Spanning over 300,000 square feet, including the iconic Building 57 with waterfront access, piers, and dry docks, our footprint enables us to take on projects of remarkable scale and significance.
But the true heart of Rhoads is our people. For generations, skilled tradespeople, engineers, and managers have brought pride and passion to our team. Every weld, every pipe spool, and every project reflects our enduring promise to create work that matters, build trust that lasts, and honor the legacy of craftsmanship that defines who we are.
