By Rhoads completion of a substantial body of work in constructing major ship components for the Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, Rhoads Maritime Industries has established a solid reputation for quality, just in time delivery, of heavy steel fabrications. At any given time, Rhoads Building 16 at the Navy Yard is host to five hundred tons or more of product in the process of fabrication, both for our prime customer, Aker, and for other local and national customers. Working hand in hand with inspectors of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rhoads' certified Craftsmen have reliably produced the major structural components of over fourteen ships during the past seven years.

As of December 2010, Rhoads Marine Industries has applied to the US Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command for status as a Master Ship Repair Activity.  If granted, this status will allow Rhoads to perform repair work on US Navy Combat vessels, and will meet the requirements of numerous other DOD and commercial ship repair...
